Ledo controls all raw materials and procedures in the product process in order to meet all the expectations of its consumers. Product and business process quality and the constant upgrading of business practices is Ledo's ongoing strategic goal. The corporate department for quality management was established to ensure a systematic approach to management, standardisation and the advancement of business processes.
The integrated quality management system is certified according to the requirements of the international quality management standard ISO 9001:2008 and aligned with the HACCP system since 1999. In 2010, we added two internationally recognised retail chain certificates to the portfolio of our existing confirmations of high quality standards: IFS - International Food Standard and BRC - British Retail Consortium Standard.
Alignment with EU standards
Ledo d.d. is categorised as a first category business entity and approved as an export entity for trade on the European Union market under Veterinary no. 11. With its activities and results in the area of system management, Ledo has continually proven its capacity to meet the requirements of the Croatian, regional and EU markets, with the establishment of more efficient operations.
In its operations, Ledo invests great efforts in environmental protection and abidance with all the provisions of the Environmental Protection Act of the Republic of Croatia. Ledo d.d. has established an environmental management system and organisation units within its system: Irida d.o.o. in Daruvar (Croatia), Ledo d.o.o. in Čitluk (BiH), Frikom A.d. in Belgrade (Serbia) and Ledo kft in Hungary. A responsible attitude towards the environment is taken through application of the principle of sustainable development and cleaner production.
An integral approach to environmental protection
Environmental protection implies an integral solution for all organisational units, and includes the use of the best energy sources and raw materials, waste management and continued avoidance of negative environmental impacts, both in production and in the products and services of the organisation.
Ledo d.d., as a part of the Agrokor Concern d.d., has become a member of the Croatian Business Council for Sustainable Development (HPSOR). In the coming period, one of its tasks will be to work on the implementation, maintenance and improvement of integrated management systems in line with the requirements of international standards.
