For the fourth year in a row, Ledo has taken home awards from the IICC Conference – this year, the Blueberry and White Chocolate Cake on a Stick was proclaimed the world's best ice cream, and the Ledonardo campaign the best business solution
At its regular annual conference, held in Norway this year, the International Ice Cream Consortium (IICC) recognised Ledo with two prestigious awards: world's best ice cream and best business solution. The prestigious awards were accepted on behalf of Ledo by company CEO Tomislav Kitonić and Marketing and Development Director Dario Vrabec.
Ledo's Blueberry and White Chocolate Cake on a Stick was proclaimed the world's best ice cream. It is particularly noteworthy that two years ago, the Chocolate Cake on a Stick product won the award for the most innovative ice cream, and therefore, it comes as no surprise that this new version of the ice cream cake on a stick has again won over the judges and taken a new prize, this time for best ice cream.
The Ledonardo campaign launched a true ice cream revolution on the Croatian market, giving consumers the first ever opportunity to develop their own ice cream creations that would be manufactured and marketed. As part of the Ledonardo campaign, ice cream creators proved that there are countless ice cream lovers of all generations in Croatia who decided to take on this challenge, and who readily accepted the final Ledonardo ice cream creation that won the competition.
Ledo also took second place in two categories: best technical solution and most innovative filling product with its Hospitality ice cream.
The International Ice Cream Consortium has been operating for 24 years, bringing together ice cream manufacturers from around the globe. For the fourth year in a row, the IICC has recognised Ledo with awards for excellence and innovation. At the 2010 conference held in Mexico, Ledo's King Extra Amadeus took the price for most innovative ice cream, an award it also took the following year with the Ledo Cake on a Stick ice cream. Last year, the most innovative ice cream award was given to Ledo's Multipack Hot Love ice cream, which showed that ice cream can also be interesting during the winter months.
